the sanitation of the Colony and to repeal certain enactments of the closed houses and insanitary dwellings Ordinance, 1894. No.34 of 1899.

The customary Report by the Attorney-General is annexed, together with a copy of the Report of the Commission appointed by my predecessor to enquire into the existence of Insanitary Properties in Hong Kong. This Report will furnish information with regard to the conditions which rendered the introduction of the Bill a pressing necessity for the sanitary welfare of the Colony.
